The end of the school year is traditionally a time to take a break from normal routines. For me, that translates into closing down this personal blogsite.
I began my weekly musings when the Covid Pandemic arrived on the scene. It was a way for me to communicate with parishioners when all normal avenues were closed down. Writing down my thoughts and feelings also helped me to deal personally with being isolated and cut off from the people I am called to serve.
That being said, I have to admit that I’ve run out of ideas and enthusiasm. It takes a lot of time and effort to put together even a few simple sentences. So today I say to you … “Thanks for reading my words, and thanks for your support and understanding”.
I leave you with a simple challenge. Perhaps this is the time for you to begin your own reflections on life. You don’t have to write them down (unless you want to). Just take time every day to think about the things that are happening all around you. Current events, newsworthy happenings and personal experiences. Bring them to the Lord in prayer, and ask Jesus to help you deal with them according to his own mind and heart. Allow the Gospel to illuminate your life and your interactions with others.
