Each year, the Church commemorates World Day for Consecrated Life by pausing and thanking the Lord for the wonderful vocation to Consecrated life, by fostering a greater awareness of and deeper appreciation for all those women and men who are called by Jeus Christ to follow him by living a life of particular consecration to God, and by celebrating the good work that the Lord continues to accomplish through the communities and its vowed members.

The annual World Day for Consecrated Life takes place this year on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, February 2, with many diocesan or parish-based celebrations taking place on the weekend of February 3/4, 2024. In the Archdiocese of Toronto there will be a special gathering and celebration for all those who have made the commitment to the vocation of Consecrated life.

To this end, we wish to invite all those who have been called to the vocation of Consecrated life to join the Most Rev. Francis Leo, Archbishop of Toronto, for a special celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10:30 am, at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica, 65 Bond Street, Toronto. The Holy Mass will be followed by a light luncheon in the parish hall across the street, at 66 Bond Street. We ask that religious men and women planning to attend kindly confirm their presence (if they have not already done so) for the Mass and luncheon as soon as possible in order to make the appropriate arrangements. Please RVSP to: VicarForConsecratedLife@archtoronto.org

The Mass will also be livestreamed through the following link: stmichaelscathedral.com/live.

The Archdiocese is truly blessed by the great diversity of your witness which is a spiritual endowment to be safeguarded, celebrated, and encouraged. We look forward to celebrating with you and expressing our gratitude for your incredible contributions.
