Advent is a time for us to reflect on our relationship with God and to prepare ourselves for the birth of Christ. That makes it an ideal time to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

From December 12 to 18, parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto will be offering additional times for confession. You can click here to find a list of times when parishes will be offering reconciliation (more parishes will be added over the coming days).

We all have been under a great deal of stress over the past two years and whether your last confession was three days ago or three decades ago, a priest would be happy to grant you forgiveness from the times you wronged God or wronged others.

The archdiocese’s Day of Confessions page also includes a guide on how to go to confession, examination of conscience resources for adults and children (which are available in seven languages) and answers to some frequently asked questions about reconciliation.

We hope you will be able to make some time for the Sacrament of Confession this Advent.
